RESIDENTIAL ELEVATOR MECHANIC
Salary: $80,000 - $90,000 + Overtime Opportunities + Excellent Benefits
We're seeking an experienced Residential Elevator Mechanic to install, coordinate, and support residential elevator projects from pre-installation through final inspection. This is an excellent opportunity for a licensed elevator professional who enjoys working directly with builders, homeowners, and construction teams while taking ownership of projects from start to finish.

The Residential Elevator Mechanic is responsible for coordinating job sites, ensuring projects are installation-ready, supporting field installations, maintaining code compliance, and working closely with builders, contractors, factory personnel, and customers throughout the construction process.
This position combines technical expertise, project coordination, customer communication, and field support to ensure every installation is completed safely, efficiently, and to the highest quality standards.
Installation & Field Operations
• Install, troubleshoot, repair, and service residential elevator systems.
• Read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and installation drawings.
• Perform electrical and mechanical troubleshooting during installation and service.
• Ensure all installations comply with company quality standards and applicable building codes.
• Safely operate hand tools, power tools, ladders, and lifting equipment.
Project Coordination
• Coordinate with Sales Representatives, builders, contractors, and homeowners throughout each project.
• Schedule and attend job site meetings as needed.
• Monitor construction progress to ensure job sites are prepared for installation.
• Collect accurate field measurements and job site information for manufacturing.
• Coordinate installation schedules and project timelines.
• Schedule inspections and ensure projects meet all required code compliance standards.
Customer Service
• Serve as the primary field contact for builders, contractors, and homeowners.
• Communicate project status, installation requirements, and timelines.
• Resolve field issues quickly while maintaining a high level of customer satisfaction.
• Partner with factory personnel to resolve technical or manufacturing questions.
Safety & Quality
• Maintain a safe work environment by following all company safety policies.
• Ensure projects meet company specifications and installation standards.
• Complete required documentation accurately and on time.
• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives while maintaining high-quality workmanship.
Required
• Current Commonwealth of Virginia Certified Elevator Mechanic License.
• High School Diploma or GED.
• Strong electrical troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to read electrical schematics and wiring diagrams.
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
• Ability to regularly lift 50+ pounds.
• Comfortable working at heights, on ladders, and in confined spaces such as attics.
• Proficiency with hand tools and power tools.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Excellent organizational and time management abilities.
• Self-motivated with strong problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Willingness to work overtime as needed.
• Ability to travel overnight occasionally.
• 2+ years of residential or commercial elevator installation and service experience.
• Construction or residential homebuilding experience.
• Project coordination or construction management experience.
• Experience working directly with builders and subcontractors.
• Familiarity with Salesforce and Microsoft Office products.
